find your rhythm. Make Your Move. see the Results.

SET yourself
in motion

You deserve a workout that surprises, energizes, and sculpts you. It’s not just about being in motion; It’s about finding the rhythm, moving with intention, and always pushing yourself further. It's more than going through the motions.

We know you’ve tried at least one program before -but were left bored, uninspired, or un-challenged. You know what you like, but haven’t found it yet.

Find confidence in the intentional movement and rhythm of our dance-inspired fitness routines. After sessions you’ll know that your body has been challenged - flexed, sculpted, and pushed. Get ready to feel powerful and energized with a transformation that is not only physical - although there are definitely physical results - but is also internal. Feel alive in your own skin, connected to it, in charge of your body, and empowered by it.

improve the way you move

It’s about being in motion, but also making motion intentional. We focus on results-driven moves that are engaging, but also safe and effective. They blend sculpting, flexibility, and cardio through dance-inspired movements that become a ‘whole body’ approach. By approaching movement with intention, you’ll achieve the best results possible.

be challenged and surprised

The body needs to be challenged before you will start seeing results. Each workout with us is designed to bring that challenge, engage you and your muscles but without feeling overly-complicated or overwhelming. In addition to the constant challenge, the moves build and change in each session to keep you on alert and motivated. We believe in pushing ourselves, evolving, and always trying new moves - in the studio and in life.

find your rhythm

As a dance-fitness studio, we are always looking for a good beat and rhythmic movement. But rather than taking a completely physical approach to our routines, we see it as a means to transform mind and body. We use movement to release tension, better ourselves physically, and build a mind-body connection that fuels confidence. Rhythmic movement has been scientifically proven to activate our brain and lift our spirits. It’s more than a workout, it’s a way for us to move in unison while pushing ourselves. our confidence, and our self-acceptance. Let’s test our bodies, our strength, our coordination, and begin to ‘tune in’ to our own rhythm - even after the music stops.

MY STORY

founder of the refinery

Dancing, training, competing, performing — it's been my routine most of my life and I love it. I studied ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop dance growing up, danced professionally and graduated with a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. But after graduating from college, I felt incomplete without dance in my life. Shortly after I took my first barre fitness class and was hooked. The excitement faded though as classes became repetitive and I struggled to find more workouts that I enjoyed or that gave me the results I was looking for.

I decided to start working in fitness myself and in 2009 I started teaching pilates along with classes at Tracy Anderson and Body by Simone. I had found my calling. I was thrilled to incorporate my dance background into fitness and loved working with clients. However, something was still missing. I needed to deepen my knowledge of the body, health, and how to help my clients achieve the best results and decided to continue my studies in kinesiology and nutrition at UCLA.

During my studies, I started to combine the best of dance, pilates, mobility, and strength training for a fun workout that sculpted a lean, toned body. It was the perfect way to meld my dance background with my love of health and fitness.

After working with hundreds of clients and teaching internationally, I felt the time was right to finally open a studio that offered the high-energy workouts I developed. A studio that is accessible and approachable for more women. Many women are looking for a space that caters to their high-achieving, results-driven attitudes, but also a studio that is supportive and enjoyable.

In addition to choreographing impactful moves and fun routines, I strive to continue my research and stay up to date on the latest scientific research for my clients. I’m also certified through Body Arts and Sciences International Pilates, The American College of Sports Medicine, and Functional Range Conditioning, however, my magic is being able to pull from various fields and methodologies to create unique routines that evolve, expand - and always get results.
